Among the tasks performed by the Brno City Hall’s Department of Health that relate to the topic of this project are the coordination of the activities of NGOs, additional medical services, and other organizations with a special focus on helping the victims of domestic violence. The department also reviews the network of health care faciities, both government and non-governmental, in terms of their branches, localization, and assessing the distribution of health care services.

We are collaborating with the Statutory City of Brno on the project:

Z labyrintu násilí / Escape from the Maze of Violence, implemented from 1 February 2015 – 31 October 2016. The Project is being supported by the Open Society Fund Prague from the Let’s Give (Wo)men a Chance programme, financed from Norway Grants.

Activities of the partner and collaboration with the partner

Mgr. Iva Koudelková as a representative of the City of Brno is the coordinator of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) in the area of domestic violence, which has existed since 2005, and will participate in establishing interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of sexual violence in Brno and in the transfer of good practices from the operation of the IDT in the area of domestic violence. The main tasks carried out by Mgr. Koudelková include team-building, training, collaborating with institutions and organizations, and actively participatingin all educational seminars and meetings implemented as part of the project.
